Prospero has significant coverage over the Isle of Man and Channel Islands with 50% of the turnover derived from the Isle of Man and the remainder split between Jersey (35%) and Guernsey (15%). Prospero are the only company on the Isle of Man registered with Refcom
The Refcom Register of Companies Competent to Handle Refrigerants was set up in 1994 in response to atmospheric damage caused by certain refrigerant gases.
In June 2009, Refcom Certification Ltd was appointed by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to operate a Certification Body under the stationary equipment provisions of the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2009 No 261. Subsequently, Refcom was also appointed by the Department of Environment in Northern Ireland under separate NI Regulations.
Prospero are the only company on the Isle of Man with an FDIS qualified Fire Door Inspector.
FDIS is Europe’s first fire door inspection scheme. It was launched in 2012 and is a joint venture delivered by the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI). Their ambition is to transform people’s knowledge about how and why fire doors work and the potential dangers of getting it wrong.

OFTEC plays a leading role in raising standards within the heating industries of the UK and Republic of Ireland through their work as a trade association, training facilitator and operator of a UKAS-accredited competent person registration scheme for certified heating technicians.
All Prospero gas engineers are Gas Safe Registered.
Whenever a gas engineer carries out work on your property, by law they must be on the Gas Safe Register.
Gas safety in the home and workplace is not something you can compromise. If you don’t have your gas appliances checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer you are risking your life. The Gas Safe Register exists to ensure gas safety for you, your family & visitors and your property.

The NICEIC Approved Contractor scheme is for electrical contractors undertaking design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations to BS 7671. As Approved Contractors we are regularly audited to ensure our work meets the industry standards and regulations, and must demonstrate the competence of our electricians.
